How It Works

Our Custom Stair Builder is a simple, easy-to-use tool that lets you design and order your external timber staircase entirely online. Whether you are a homeowner, a tradie, or a DIYer, just follow the steps below to get exactly what you need, with no phone calls or quotes required.

Step 1: Calculate Your Measurements

Start with our free Stair Builder calculator. Enter your total rise (floor to floor height), preferred rise per tread, depth of tread, and stair width. The calculator will recommend the correct number of treads for your space based on Australian NCC standards, and carry your measurements through to the next step automatically.

Step 2: Choose Your Timber

Select from four quality Australian timber species: Treated Pine, Merbau, Blackbutt, or Spotted Gum. Each species is suited to outdoor use and the configurator will update your preview as you make your selection.

Step 3: Choose Your Coating

Select a pre-coated finish if you want your stairs ready to install straight away, or choose uncoated if you would prefer to apply your own stain, oil, or paint on site.

Step 4: Choose Flat Pack or Assembled

Flat pack stairs are delivered as pre-cut components ready for on-site assembly. Assembled stairs arrive pre-built and ready to install. Choose whichever option suits your project and skill level.

Step 5: Add Stainless Steel Cables (Optional)

If your staircase requires stainless steel lag screw cables, select Yes in the configurator. You will then be prompted to add our Cable Kit to your cart separately, where you can specify the number of cable sets and lengths required.

Step 6: Add to Cart and Checkout

Once you are happy with your selections, add your staircase to the cart and complete your purchase through our secure online checkout. You will receive an order confirmation by email straight away.

Step 7: We Build and Deliver

We get to work preparing your order to your exact specifications. Once your stairs are ready, we will be in touch to arrange delivery to your Central Coast address, or you can collect from our Erina location.
